Business Development Manager

Responsibilities

  • Leads search, evaluation and outreach to new potential partners
  • Supports evaluation of business opportunities including new products, markets, growth areas, and partnerships.
  • Responsible for representing Medsciences’ capabilities to potential partners
  • Coordinates cross functionally and solicits input from relevant parties to develop robust business cases and proposals to be presented to prospective partners
  • Responsible for initial term sheet development & contract negotiation in coordination with relevant functions (legal, commercial, finance).
  • Leads project team to ensure proper onboarding of new partner and timely execution of partner business plan.
  • Consistently maintains accurate prospects data including contacts, competitive landscape, current status, etc.
  • Represents Medscience in a professional and knowledgeable manner at International partnering events, medical and pharmaceutical congresses.

  • Must take initiative and be detail-oriented, well organized and have ability to meet deadlines and perform in a fast-paced work environment – work with a sense of urgency.
  • Strong quantitative, financial modeling and forecasting skills
  • Confident and capable to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills, attention to detail and demonstrable contract negotiation skills.
  • Strong team player with a strong collaboration mindset
  • Must thrive in an extremely dynamic, fast paced, and ambiguous environment and be mentally nimble to pivot as necessary
  • A flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment Ability to multitask and prioritize workload

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10-12 years pharma industry experience, ideally gained in a variety of commercial/medical/regulatory roles
  • Degree in pharmacy or medicine with an MBA
  • Broad experience across the MENA region with exposure to at least two of the three subregions (GCC, Levant, North Africa)
  • Similar business development roles experience a definitive plus

The role could be based out of either Beirut or Dubai with regular travel anticipated.
